I’d be very grateful for any more information about this print by Kuniyasu. I believe it is of Ichimura Uzaemon XII as Oboshi
Rikiya and Bando Tamasaburō as Okaru. I assume it dates from the late 1820s as BT only took that name in 1824 and although IU XII
took his name in 1821 he was only aged 9 at the time! Is my information correct and can anyone give a more precise date (and
location) for the performance?
Having had a closer look BT is playing Konami, not Okaru, so this might be the performance of Kanadehon Chusingura at the Ichimura 07/1827.
Can anyone confirm this? And is that a clock in the background? Many thanks.
