Dear friends,
I’m the creator of the site dedicated to Ito Sozan: https://itosozan.com
My aim is to spread the knowledge of this author, less known than Ohara Koson (Shoson, Hoson) who replaced him at Watanabe Shozaburo in 1926.
For this purpose I have tried to create a catalog of his works and collect all possible information.
In parallel I focused on the inventory of pre-Quake Watanabe Shozaburo. Occasionally an inventory number is placed on the back of the prints. While they may not be in chronological order, identification of these numbers allows placing the work prior to the 1936 catalog and possibly pre-Quake.
I ask for your help to implement my site with images of other prints not known to me, with the measurements, if missing or other information you deem useful.
For example, of this CH-13 “Little egret at night” print, I don’t know the measurements, nor if it is actually a koban.

Thanks to David for sharing my site and also to Roberta and Bill from the Floating World Gallery.
Greetings to all.
Mauro from Italy
Thank you Mauro for creating such a great resource! If you need any high-resolution images of prints I have please let me know, happy to send them over!
