I hope I’m doing this right. This is new since the last time I was here for help. I have this woodblock and looking to identify the artist.
TIA

print by Yoshitora (?), blurry signature, with title 上杉 [弾正 大弼] 輝虎入道謙信 Uesugi [Danjô Daihitsu] Terutora Nyûdô Kenshin
Much appreciated manuD! That's a good start for me LOL
correction : Lucienne pointed out to me that the artist is in fact Yoshifuji, signing 一鵬斎芳藤画 Ippôsai Yoshifuji ga
addition : the publisher is Mankyu (方久) active around 1845, and the round censor seal is that of Fu, which implies a date 1843-1845
OH! That helps greatly! I have been doing a lot of research on woodblocks, I think they're stunning. But some are more difficult to find.
