I am trying to identify this hand-painted woodblock print (21.6cm x 16.0cm) which is probably trimmed from an ehon page. The image content suggests it could be from a Genji monogatari or Soga monogatari series, but my extensive online searching has been unsuccessful. A possible distinguishing feature is the use of paired horizontal lines to delineate the ground surface, which appears to be uncommon before 1680. Hand painting largely ended in the 1770s. Any further ideas (or even identification) would be greatly appreciated.
